This release version of JDK highlights a feature called “module system”, based on Project Jigsaw. Besides this, there are some important changes and notes to be considered those we have covered in “Others” title of in this section.
There was an acceleration in the development of Java Development Kits after Oracle took ownership of Sun’s Java. As of today (October 2021), JDK 18 is available for early access.
